Liquidclear VST Plug-ins

Liquidclear has released a number of freeware VST instrument and effect plug-ins for Windows.

All Liquidclear plugin(s) were created using SynthEdit and are for Windows only. You will need a VST host to use them.

Liquidclear plug-ins

  • Tremoloid – a simple but versatile plug for creating tremolo-type effects using pure AM. Sounds range from classic 60′s tremolo to extreme FSU/Glitch goodness. Excellent for EPs and strings/pads. Stereo in/out.
  • Rectiplyer – Extreme Octave Distortion for guitars. Rectiplyer simultaneously ‘transposes’ the optionally distorted input signal both up and down 1 and 2 octaves. The distorted/transposed signals can be blended together as well as individually panned. Huge nasty synth-like tones are had with ease.
  • Klapp One – Analog-style hand clap sound generator (no samples used).
  • Transilient – a versatile FSU/Glitch type multi-effect unit designed to make strange and unusual new sounds — yet still (hopefully) easy to use and control. The 5 different effects can be modulated by one of two 16-step sequencers, a LFO, any WAV file, and/or manually controlled. Additionally, the modulators can be synced to your host’s tempo. You can easiliy turn a single sustained note or chord into an electronic drum loop. Or take an existing drum loop and turn it into something glitch-like and noisy. Slower tempos work great for drone and ambient sounds. 16 presets are included to get you started.
  • Flux Interrupter – It’s a weird, glitchy, modulated delay with a built-in LP filter and a little something extra. James built it to obtain a certain sound for his own use, but maybe you’ll find some use for this plug as well. Flux Interrupter sounds great on slower drums loops and monosynth sounds. 16 presets are included to get you started.

The Lower Rhythm releases Basilisk

Basilisk is a full stereo, two channel multiband ‘vibe’ style effect geared towards electric piano, strings, pads and guitars. The wet channel passes your signal through a 9-Band Equalizer, each band being modulated at an independently set rate with an adjustable waveform (4 choices). In addition, each band has a knob for adjusting the bandwidth for its dedicated center frequency. Next, your signal is fed into a stereo chorus effect (5 selectable waveforms) capable of everything from smooth flange to a glitchy blitter — and for those more ‘crusty’ moods, a very fat lowpass filter is right there in order to trim off some of the highs.

All that’s left is to mix and match your wet and dry signals with two

Feature list

  • Fully stereo.
  • Four master waveform choices.
  • 9 bands of frequency divided ‘vibe’.
  • Bandwidth / Rate controls for each band.
  • Utilizes phasing for smoother effect.
  • Chorus effect with five selectable waveforms.
  • Fat, Moog style master lowpass filter.
  • Independent Wet / Dry signal volume controls.

Xhip Releases A Freeware Effects Bundle

Aciddose at PresetExchange.com has released an updated version of its collection of Xhip effect plug-ins for Windows.

Changes in Xhip effect plug-in collection

  • Three new effects: reverb, quantizer and limiter.
  • New knob graphics, caching of bitmaps (allowing better, bigger bitmaps) and some optimization.
  • The code for the vu meters has been improved – it will now catch peak values more accurately and an rms mode is available – although rms mode is not yet configurable on the gui.
  • The phaser has been improved – tuning is improved as well as other small changes. it should sound more “stable” now.
  • The compressor has had a “gain reduction” meter added.

The Xhip VST effect plug-ins for Windows are available to download separately (clipper, compressor, gate, limiter, mdelay, phaser, quantizer, reverb, ringmod, tremolo), and bundled in a pack.
