Free guitar VST plugins collections

Check out new huge review of free Guitar VST (plugin) Collections.

“The best part about having unique interests or being a part of a passionate group of people is that you occasionally get the spoils of the subsequent growing base of product or service developers of that particular interest. Guitar amplification VSTs and cabinet simulators are nothing new, but there is a growing community of independent designers of software instruments that are offering their products for free. There are too many to cover here in one article, so I’ve collected and tested 17 of the best sounding, best looking, and most widely known free amp simulators and tested them through a static speaker simulation consisting of the KeFIR cabinet simulator with Catharsis cabinet impulses.”

Tonebytes releases Pedals

Pedals is a free VST effect plug-in for Windows, designed for processing electric guitar and bass. It is also possible to process other audio sources for a variety of artistic techniques.

For more convenience, Pedals’ GUI simulates real devices for sound processing: guitar pedals, amplifiers, speakers, etc. There are a total of 19 models of pedals, 2 amps, 7 speakers models and 3 rack units. These devices are not a copy of the real-life models, each with their own sound, but their working principles are identical.

With just a few clicks you can select a combination of effects and create the desired sound. You can even create extra mood by choosing floor material under the pedals: house parquet, metal garage floor or studio carpet.

The built-in preset manager makes it easy to save the settings and quickly access them or share them with other Wowcoder users. In addition, VST automation and full MIDI Learning are supported.

Pedals is available as a freeware VST effect plug-in for Windows.

Reverb Tricks – Surprising Sounds From Just A Guitar And Effects Pedals

This is the latest video in Electro-Harmonix’s excellent Effectology series – Reverb Tricks.

In each episode of the series, studio artist Bill Ruppert demonstrates a variety of effects using just a guitar and some EH pedals.

In this video, Ruppert focuses on reverb effects. For each one of the four sounds in this video, the reverb was positioned in unusual places within the signal chain – proof that there is no one correct way to order your effect pedals.

EHX Pedals featured in the video include the Soul Preacher, Holy Grail, MicroSynth, English Muff’n and Stereo Memory Man.
