Rob Papen releases RP-Dock

Rob Papen has releases the Windows version of RP-Dock, a standalone host application for Rob Papen products.

There are handy features like tempo setting and an audio recording/playback facility.

The audio setting for sample rate can be selected from 44.1Khz up to 96Khz(depending on your soundcard/device). Midi input offers merging of all connected Midi controllers and also included is an optional midi channel selector.

A great tool if you are playing live or in the studio or… simply cool if you just like to play around with the synthesizers or effects.

RP-Dock is now available to download for Windows and Mac, free of charge.

SynthFont updated to v1.640

SynthFont is a free/donationware tool for playing/rendering MIDI files using SoundFonts and other similar sound sources (WAV, DLS, GIGA and also VST Instruments).

Changes in 1.640

  • The SoundFont history list now only displays the SoundFont file name
  • Changed the shape of the Modulation Envelope Attack phase
  • Changed the Low Pass Filter algorithm
  • Bugfix for pianoroll playback when using loops
  • Bugfix for MIDI file saving
  • Various other minor bugfixes

A primitive sounding percussion for NI Kontakt – Free

The log drum, also called Slit Drum, is an idiophone usually carved in wood or constructed in a resonant wooden box. On the surface there are some woodden tongues that can be struct to play a simple melody. Our instrument is a “vintage” version of the most common log drum in commerce. It was used for years before we could get our hands on it. Some toungues were not perfectly in tune, and there was a small crack on a tongue that made he instrument to “sizzle” on strong beats.

But… we felt its sound lovely and authentic and we hope you will enjoy its sound too.
