SoundOutTheBox releases XTrack EQ32 v1.0

SoundOutTheBox has released version 1.0.0 of XTrack EQ32. XTrack EQ32 is a 32 bands equalizer with a low CPU usage.

Whereas most of equalizers support only stereo control, XTrack EQ32 gives you the possibility to control a Mono, a Stereo, a LRS, a Quatro and an 8.0 Music system. Equalization presets can be saved in a specific file in XML format. These presets are editable and can be loaded easily by the plugin via its user interface. Each slider control the gain of one equalizer between -12dB and +12dB for a specific frequency. EQs frequencies are fixed from 16Hz to 20kHz and are splitted in four different areas Low, LowMid, HighMid and High. XTrack EQ32 has also a vumeter for input and output signal.

Xtrack EQ32 is available for free as VST/VST3 plug-in for Windows.

Sound Magic releases Neo Harmonic

Sound Magic’s latest creation, Neo Harmonic, opens a new direction for EQ. With it’s custom shaped filter response curve(based on several years of research), Neo Harmonic can bring amazing new results to your projects.

There’s an EQ theory called “Yin and Yang” which says that adjusting one band will automatically influence the others. Neo Harmonic takes this theory to a new level by not only boosting/cutting the selected frequency, but also exciting the harmonic partials of that frequency, extending changes throughout the whole audible frequency band. The result is a unique sound which traditional parametric EQs would be hard pressed to achieve. A 2dB boost sounds similar to an 8dB boost on a common parametric EQ. The bottom line? You end up with much less distortion by increasing the efficiency of the EQ. Less boost/decay and narrower bandwidth makes any distortion far less than traditional EQ. Measurement results prove that Neo EQ only brings around 9% of the distortion of a traditional parametric EQ unit.

Another key feature Neo Harmonic provides is its ability to emulate the sound style of vintage EQ units, such as SSL and so on.
