Ueberschall releases Bass Saxophone

That´s really new: so soulful and melodic, almost a half octave lower are these new Bass Sax loops, played in a contemporary groovestyle. The saxophone for this production was recorded with premium-class microphones and high-end analog/digital converters. All Licks in this library are available as dry versions, without any additional e.q.- , compressor- or reverb effects.

Everybody who thought the classic „buab“ by Tower of Power´s baritonesax sounds deep should listen now to these loops. That´s really new: so soulful and melodic, almost a half octave lower are these new Bass Sax loops, played in a contemporary groovestyle. Played by Multisaxman David Milzow on an extraordinary HighClass- Instrument of the Keilwerth company, these samples show the really new possibilities of this “beast”, think of “Barry White goes Sax”.

As one of the leading saxophonists of his generation in Germany David Milzow build up a reputation as a „multisaxophonist“. As a session musician he can be heard on productions by Ueberschall, Mousse T. or tracks like „We no speak Americano“ by The Drapers and he was live on stage with illustrious musicians like Joo Kraus, Richie Beirach, Dave Liebman, Melva Houston or Clyde Stubblefield. He played live and on TV not only with his own bands The Screenclub (New Soul Jazz)  and DNA – Group (Rock Jazz) but also with The Drapers („We no speak Americano“ and „Yakety Yak“).

Circular Labs updates Mobius Programmable Looper to v2.4

Circular Labs has updated Mobius Programmable Looper to version 2.4. The focus of this release was was fixing some memory leaks and a few bugs.

New features:

  • The “Periodic Status Log” global parameter enables printing of Mobius memory consumption once a minute for debugging.

Bugs fixed:

  • Slow memory leak on Mac when drawing text in the UI.
  • Large Memory leak if Max Redo Count is more than 1.
  • Changing “Beats per Bar” unstable with mouse.
  • Input Port and a few other parameters not displaying correctly in the main status area.
  • Binding dialogs always show 8 tracks and 4 groups rather than the number of tracks and groups configured.
  • Crash on Mac at startup when OSC is enabled.
  • Missing Mac osc.xml file.
  • Synchronization beats missed when Ableton transport is playing in a loop.

Mobius is a tool for live recording and manipulation of audio loops, with features similar to those of the Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro and the Electrix Repeater.

Voxengo releases OldSkoolVerb v2.0

Voxengo has announced the release of the next major version of its OldSkoolVerb plugin – a freeware algorithmic reverberation AU and VST plugin for professional music production applications.

OldSkoolVerb now supports most user interface features the latest Voxengo plugins offer, including undo/redo history, preset manager, user interface coloration and others.

Most importantly, this updated version 2.0 features an improved reverb algorithm which became more robust, more stereo-balanced and more parametrically flexible.

OldSkoolVerb implements a kind of “classic” stereo reverb algorithm which is technically simple yet optimal. It also produces a very clear spatial image that blends well with the mix.

OldSkoolVerb offers you a comprehensive set of parameters permitting you to achieve various reverbs ranging from plate to hall reverb sound. OldSkoolVerb is best suited for non-percussive and soft-attack sounds like vocals, piano and pad sounds.

KV331 Audio Releases RTAS version of SynthMaster 2.5 for Windows and MacOSX

SynthMaster 2.5 is now available in RTAS format as well, on Windows 7, MacOSX 10.6.7 and MacOSX 10.7.3 operating systems.

We have update the demos as well, so they include the RTAS binaries. Go grab the demo and see SynthMaster in action inside ProTools!

 Many of you guys on MacOSX were asking us for 64 bits versions of SythMaster, and finally here they come! We have just released SynthMaster as a native 64 bit VST/AU plugin on MacOSX. You can download the latest demos from the links on the left, which contain updated versions of the plugin for both 32bits and 64bits.
