The Audiotool Team has announced that Audiotool 1.0 Firestarter is now available.
“We are proud to release Audiotool 1.0 Firestarter, a music making online platform. Two years ago we started with a simple idea: Everyone should be able to make music online through their browser without the need to install any additional software. This proof of concept was a great success and since then we have continually updated Audiotool with new features, as well as, pocketing a Red-Dot Award and a German Design Award. However we have never considered any of the updates worthy of the being the 1.0 release, until now.”
Drumbot is website that offers a set of free online tools for musicians or anyone interested in composing beats. Drumbot is made up of a guitar tuner, a drum beat generator, metronome, a drum pattern sequencer, and a tap beats per minute (BPM) indicator.
Using the music apps in Drumbot is pretty straightforward. The Guitar Tuner lets you compare and calibrate the tune of your guitar. Drumbot allows you to instantly create a drum track by sequencing various drumbeats where you can export a .wav file of your work.
The Drum Pattern Sequencer lets you generate drum sounds by inputting various patterns of drum components where you can also adjust the BPM of the drum and save a copy of your work. Meanwhile, the Metronome helps you maintain your timing while playing and you can also change the sound and adjust the beats and the BPM. Finally, the Tap BPM helps you determine the beats per minute of a song by just tapping keys in your keyboard.
Drumbot is a perfect tool for percussionists and band musicians that need a companion app to synchronize their rhythm. This app is also a nice study tool if you want to master playing drums.
Features:
Free online applications for musicians
Save a copy of your work for drumbot and drum pattern sequencer
Export your work as .wav in drumbot
Save an offline copy of guitar tuner, tap BPM, and metronome
This site isn’t so much as community as it is an awesome online application that helps you learn how to play any song using whatever format you’re most comfortable with. The coolest part of e-chords is how you can customize the display of the song and the associated chords with a click of the mouse.
The guitar chords for songs that you’ll find here are displayed exactly how I like them – the lyrics with the required chord listed above them. The menu bar on the left offers all kinds of cool features, including auto-scroll (really nice when you’re trying to play and need to scroll down for the lyrics!), increase or decrease the font size, hide chords, play simpler chords (if available) and even switch the chord display from the letter to the chord drawings (awesome for beginners).

The CodeOrgan analyses the “body” content of any web page and translates that content into music. The CodeOrgan uses a complex algorithm to define the key, synth style and drum pattern most appropriate to the page content.
Firstly, the CodeOrgan scans the page content and removes all characters not found in the musical scale (A to G), and then analyses the remaining characters to find the most commonly used “note”. If this is an even number the page is translated into the major pentatonic scale of that particular note, it becomes minor if there is an uneven number.
Secondly, the CodeOrgan defines which synthesizer to use. This is based upon the total number characters used on the webpage – there are currently 10 synthesizer effects and the one chosen is picked based upon the percentage of content.
Lastly, the CodeOrgan selects a drum loop based upon the ratio of characters on the page versus the number of characters that are actually musical notes – there are currently 10 different drum loops to pick from.
